GOD MOVES AMONG CHRISTIAN LEADERS

If there is a single ingredient in every recorded revival, it is that God’s people become desperate enough to “cry out” to the Lord for deliverance.

Recently, over 350 leaders gathered at the Billy Graham training center in North Carolina for the sixth Heart-Cry for Revival Conference. Life Action has been a lead sponsor for several of these conferences. Each time God has visited in powerful ways. Our staff along with James MacDonald, Sammy Tippit, Richard Owen Roberts, Crawford Loritts, Bob Bakke, and numerous other leaders banded together to seek the Lord in a concentrated way. And the Lord was pleased to descend through His Word and with His Spirit to touch and transform hearts.A key component of the gathering was a “prayer summit” preceding the conference. Nearly 100 intercessors and leaders joined together in seeking the Lord before the conference began. The following testimonies reflect the powerful work of God in those who gathered:

“I don’t think there’s enough paper here to say all that God has been speaking to me.  I’m so grateful that He has spoken because it brought me out of a very dry pit of my life.”

“God has shown me that I have been dry! He reminded me of what it tastes like to thirst for Him and, in turn, what it feels like to be filled. He showed me that before revival can or will take place in my church, that it must first take place in my heart. He gave me a yearning to become a man of prayer, and a hunger and a thirst to be filled with the Spirit.”“God began a fire in my dry and thirsty life. This morning the spark has been ignited, and the flames are burning once again.”“Byron said we need to not only have a quiet time, and a quiet place, but also a quiet heart. I need a lot of work on the quiet heart part.”

“It was and is a defining moment in my life—a ‘crisis’ in the fullest sense. I sense it wasn’t the speakers so much as the atmosphere—a people set on God that God used to bring insight and fullness.”

“God has placed a call for personal repentance to prepare me to speak ‘into’ my denomination a similar message to return to our first love. He has provided me with strength, affirmation, and assurance to do so! Praise Him!”

“God has dealt with our whole staff. The way God dealt and challenged us, we believe, will affect not just our church, but our lifestyles, town, county, and the uttermost parts of the world.”

Since the conference, God continued to work. The following e-mails arrived a couple of weeks following the conference:

“I was so blessed, and continue to experience personal revival. I accepted the challenge to spend 3 hours a day with God for a week after returning home. I did that and now I want that much time every day!”

“Thank you for the conference. We are now in the midst of God doing something great in our worship services.”

“Thank you so much. I am so blessed by the conference—I can’t begin to tell you all God did, but just know it was life changing.”

The congregations whose pastor attended represents many key churches and ministries. Their burden for something extraordinary to take place has intensified greatly. Please pray that these dewdrops of revival will spread throughout the churches and communities, until there are thousands, even millions, who are seeking God with all of their hearts!
