Obedience
God loves his children. He knows we cannot fully experience and enjoy his love unless we are obedient to Him. Obeying God is not meant to be a sterile, cold requirement; rather, it is a willing, glad-hearted response to One who loves us extravagantly and has our best interests at heart. God does not stand by at a distance, demanding our obedience. Rather, He blesses us by allowing us to be a part of accomplishing his purposes. He calls us to surrender, invites us to follow, empowers us to serve, and than blesses our obedience.

He is before all things, and in him all things hold together" (Colossians 1:16-17). In those two verses, the phrase "all things" is used four times. We must conclude He means all things. Has the LORD as much delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed than the fat of rams. For rebellion is as the sin of divination, and insubordination is as iniquity and idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the LORD, He has also rejected you from being king. (1 Samuel 15:22-23, NASB) We love worship. It’s almost trendy to throw your head back, lift your hands, close your eyes, and sway to a glorious song about God ...
